Human beings are hardwired for connection. As it pertains to people experiencing disability, this hardwiring begins to fray when we’re unaware of the societal reality that people with disabilities are devalued by the nature of being born with a disability. Rooted in John O’Brien’s “Five Valued Experiences” this film highlights the story of Team Nick and the Leadership Team of Life Works. Belonging. Sharing Ordinary Places. Being Respected. Contribution. Choosing. These qualities abound in this story as well as the feeling of connectivity within us, our teams and the organization at large. Life Works is committed to cultivating brave spaces of strong, compassionate connections with everyone we partner with.
