Gillian has been a force to incubate inclusion in Georgia for decades.  From her university base, she has not only been an advocate but has also inspired and instigated books, films, and students to promote inclusion.  She was a friend of Waddie Weldome – and an author to revive the story of a woman incarcerated in a Georgia institution.  She was the initiator of a Museum exhibit honouring the history of inclusion in Georgia
